What PennyCalc licenses

PennyCalc's original downloadable chart artwork, and the original selection, arrangement, calculations, derived fields, and annotations in a PennyCalc dataset, are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0).

To use those PennyCalc-authored elements, follow the complete CC BY 4.0 conditions. In particular, credit PennyCalc, link to the PennyCalc source page and the CC BY 4.0 license, indicate whether you made changes, and do not imply that PennyCalc endorses you or your use.

What PennyCalc does not license

This license does not grant rights in underlying facts or source data that PennyCalc does not own. It also excludes third-party marks and PennyCalc's name, logo, wordmark, and other brand identifiers. Source-provider terms, attribution requirements, and public-domain status continue to apply.

Each dataset page identifies its primary source. Review that source before redistributing source data. Relevant source terms include the Freddie Mac Content Use Policy, FRED Terms of Use, BLS copyright guidance, and Damodaran data use guide.

Attribution example

“PennyCalc, [page or dataset title], available under CC BY 4.0; adapted from the sources identified on the PennyCalc page.”

Link “PennyCalc” to the source page and “CC BY 4.0” to the license. If you changed the chart or PennyCalc-authored dataset elements, say so.
